Desa Lentong merupakan salah satu desa diantara 40 desa yang membentuk Kecamatan Simpang Kiri dan sekaligus merupakan salah satu desa dari 14 desa (UPT) yang membentuk Pemukiman Kuta Baharu. Secara geografis merupakan salah satu desa diantara puluhan desa lain yang terletak di Cekungan Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Sungai Singkil (Lae Suraiya) beserta anak sungai-nya.
