The Cultural Study of Law : reconstructing legal scholarship
"The Cultural Study of Law is a manifesto for a new way of thinking about law. While many practitioners and judges like to complain that academic law has grown too academic, Kahn's complaint runs in the opposite direction, that it is too steeped in practice and thus deprives us of some exciting vistas which the cultural study of law holds out. There is some work in law that strikes a similar note, bur nothing that marches down this road with the resolution, depth, and panache of this book."
